Hey folks. I got an old laptop from my sister. Amilo Pro V3515. After spending some time and money ive upgraded it: Celeron 450M 2GHz > Duo T5600 1.83GHz 512MB > 2GB RAM GPU is something integrated that reserves 25% of RAM for itself (AFAIK), cant be changed.
Its mainly for working outside of home but i think little game from time to time wont hurt Can you recommend some good old classic games i can run? So far i have NFS Underground 2 and first two Age of Empires.
Stronghold Pharaoh Cleopatra: Queen of the Nile Simcity 2000 Empire Earth Roller Coaster Tycoon Caesar III Thief (the old one) Settlers Commandos Age of Wonders Unreal Tournament 1999 Goty Tropico Port Royale Patrician Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Praetorians Wing Commander
Uuu, "Patricians 2" and 3 (3 is basically a expansion of 2) such a great historical trade game. The fourth iteration of the series though is screwed up by kalypso media who bought the trademark from Ascaron.
d*mn, thanks for all the recommendations! Ill need some kind of portable mouse because all these RTSs would be pain on touchpad. So many good old RTSs and strategies. Its a shame this genre is pretty much dead nowadays. Last isometric RTSs like Stronghold Crusader look great and are fun to play.
"Laptop friendly games" ... I got a laptop which allows me to play... nearly all games on high (in some cases Ultra) settings
However like most people have mentioned, all the older games and CPU heavy games are "laptop" friendly. That includes flash games and other minigames (e.g. http://www.armorgames.com)
